PARIS-1: Use of Commercial Rendering Software Packages. Currently we are using Softimage running on NT nodes. In order to submit rendering jobs, we use CLUSTOR.
PARIS-2: Use of freeware Rendering Software, in order to try to optimize the performance modifying the source code (for instance, exploiting SMP nodes, user level communication libraries, better algorithms, etc.).
There are two forms to use PARIS-2:
using parallel POVRAY running over PVM on Linux nodes.
